A British Journal of Dermatology study has found substantially higher rates of anxiety and depression among US adults with atopic dermatitis, compared to those without. The study also found that anxiety and depression often go undiagnosed in these individuals.

WELL, NO SHIT!?!

Who would have thought that constant itching, scratching, torn skin, red weeping sores, the horrible sleep, the weird looks from people when in public, or the occasional scared looks like I am a leper, would have an impact on my mental health....

magnesium is a good way for contrast this, also be optimistic , pratice some yoga and change the lifestyle by avoiding the things that make you anxious.

I have managed to figure out a means of keeping my symptoms from reoccurring so badly, fortunately, which has helped my head space a lot. This story points out a more troubling aspect of medicine and diseases is the mental health side of it. So often it seems there is an attempt to treat the symptoms but completely neglecting mental state of patients. Really they should go hand in hand.
