Lynn Swann resigns as USC athletic director
Lynn Swann's tenure with the University of Southern California came to an abrupt end . Swann resigned on Monday, effective immediately.
Swann is the third athletic director in a row who played football for the Trojans.
Over his time as AD, Swann had some winning with a few of the teams. He also had some questionable decisions. He kept head football coach Clay Helton after a 5-7 season, the worst in almost two decades. He also gave him an extension before last season that goes through 2023.
There was also a major college admission scandal with bribes and payoffs.
Overall, his tenure was spotty at best and USC is better for parting ways.
