Coinbase in the UK is dropping ZCash. This announcement comes as a surprise to many.

The company announced that it is no longer supporting the privacy currency as of August 26th. Customers have the choice of moving the tokens to an external wallet or converting them to another currency.

If nothing is done by that date, all ZCash tokens will be converted to British Pounds.

The company gave no explanation as to why it is doing this. Coinbase in other parts of the world will continue to support the token.
