The situation with Brexit is a mess. One of the latest fears is that when Britain leaves the EU, there could be uncertainty within the banking system. One official even called for a bank holiday when that transition takes place.

This could get a lot of people scared. Faith in centralized banking systems around the world is diminishing. If a country the size of Britain has a run, it would be devastating.

Decentralized assets like Bitcoin could certainly be favored. Pulling money out of the British banking system ahead of this move might be the smartest thing anyone can do.
