The first card has fallen in the Facebook/Libra battle against the regulators.

PayPal, one of the companies that signed on to the project, is pulling out.

This was made official today.

The company was reputed to not like the scrutiny that was coming by being associated with Libra.  PayPal still have business interests it needs to protect.

Facebook vowed to make the project a success.  If it does that, PayPal will not be a part of it.
