Interesting potential for power storage in static applications, as current solutions require frequent replacement of batteries. I will have a look at this directly, as the materials necessary for a 'salt-water' battery are unknown to me, and may be far more benign than legacy systems. It is concerning that lithium is in too short supply to provide materials for enough batteries for expected growth in the transport industry, much less than that combined with static applications, such as residential.

For 10 years but with multiple charges, right? One charge wouldn't last that long... would be crazy if that really exists. But yeah, could be suppressed by bigger companies or just the gov.
This is pretty awesome! I can't imagine getting 10 years of power from one battery. I am guessing if you live off grid though you probably are pretty good at conserving and I doubt you aren't just blindly blowing through energy. My friend has some property with a cottage and other buildings in the UP of Michigan. He doesn't have any power, but he uses generators occasionally. This would totally be a game changer for him up there if he could keep it from getting stolen during the times he wasn't up there :)

Also says on website they just emerged from bankruptcy, so is possible they may have just overextended themselves in development early on and required time for restructuring in a way that could be sustainable for the business...
10 whooping years you say!!. Now that's impressive. So why and when did they stop production in the first place? Are the budget friendly too?
