I wonder how confirmation works. One can sign a transaction and maybe if the other person is standing next to you execute a P2P without any internet (using bluetooth or something similar), but without blockchain access or access to lightning network, how is confirmation handled?

That more of opendime your describing. The one in the article is diff. The headline might be a little click baity but it more of a mesh network so someone else in another area has the internet and you kinda connect to them add blockstream satellites and it near no internet use.

There are thousands of apps these days... more and more will be added... and more minds will be shifting to these techno apps that many might become neurotics. 

HongKong has built an app also which is from Cointext, I think.
