Remote Control of T-HR3

NTT DOCOMO, INC. (DOCOMO) and Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) today announced that they have successfully controlled the Toyota-developed T-HR3 humanoid robot in trials using fifth-generation mobile communications (5G) under a test environment with control from a remote location (a distance of approximately 10 kilometers) using 5G in an area between two points.

Jibo may be dead, but Toyota is still pushing that robotic development. A remote control for those robots could be quite useful to be able to put a device in very dangerous situation but still operated by humans. Will be interesting to see the future of that.
