Tiger Woods inconsistent, struggles en route to opening round 75 at Northern Trust

Thursday was the opening round of the Northern Trust golf tournament. Tiger Woods was there but his A game was absent.

Woods has been hindered by an ailing back. He did not hit a driver during the practice round nor take a full swing on the back 9.

On Thursday, the day started well with two pars. After that, it all fell apart. Woods limped home with a 75 in the opening round.

The former number 1 golfer in the world is trying to recapture his former glory but it is hard. Age and the surgeries are catching up to him.
