Kristalina Georgieva chosen as Europe's candidate for IMF top job
Kristalina Georgieva, Bulgarian chief of the World Bank, has been selected as Europe’s choice to head the International Monetary Fund after a standoff with EU finance ministers. Ms Georgieva received the most votes in a ballot on Friday in her race against the Dutch former Eurogroup president Jeroen Dijsselbloem, but initially did not receive the majority backing needed
