New meeting with the friends from the CENAF:

This weeekend's call with the Photography National Center was made to visit two very interesting spaces, two structures where culture and art constanty live together in various activities and performances.

We walked the spaces of both the National Theater and the Municipal Theatre, beginning with this last one. We met at 9am and gathered by the surroundings of the theater where I found some old friends that I had a long time without seeing each other. We had total access to the facilities for about two hours, approximately, time that I managed to take some pictures, as well as a new episode of my series #CaracasThroughAPeephole.

Historically speaking, the construction of Municipal Theatre started in 1876, but its opening didn't took place until January 1st in 1881. It's been 137 since that date, it's been restored many times and it actually keeps a very good condition inside the facilities, as well as the exterior front.

It is a perfect space to be photographed by this lens, that in fact, was a lifesaver tool. I was carrying both of my cameras, the T3 with a 28-135mm and the SX40HS with its angular for video recording, but I realized that the 28mm was limited to capture the space in its full, so the SX angular lens took all the protagonism with this wide images of the spaces we moved.

On the other hand, we have the National Theatre, which constructions started on June 23rd in 1904, and by the time of June 11th in 1905 was already opening its doors to the public with a play named The Thunder.

Of this last theater I made a few pictures, of which this two were the ones that better fitted the series. The lightning of the room is softer and it's hard to the development of pictures without using a flash and a tripod, also, the main challenge for me was to take shots for the video, which also got affected by the lightning conditions of the facility.

This theater does have some affected areas by the moisture, and requires a precautionary, and urgent, maintenance, I would say. Among other details, its external front looks pretty good to me.

By the moment, I finish the pictures to share with you my experience and perspective of this route with a new video of #CaracasThroughAPeephole. I really hope you like it.
