Partisan Politics: Fighting for the Best Seats on the Titanic.

I spoke to my parents on Facetime this morning, and the "hot topic" of immigration came up.

It's always a bit tough to talk about these things with my folks now that I am "out of the box," as it were. By this, of course, I mean that I am no longer on the political spectrum and simply support full-blown, logical, natural law freedom as a Voluntaryist.

While I sympathized and even agreed with many of the views my parents expressed today via our international chat, there was still that thing getting in the way. That...partisanism.

My dad wanted to blame "the left" for everything (which terminology--"the left"--I had never heard him use growing up, but which he apparently adopted from, and is now using in concert with, the mass, mainstream media), and seems to identify with the political "right." My mother seemed to agree.

I attempted something some might call foolish. I attempted to explain why both sides are a socialist nightmare of a joke, which advocate mass slavery and murder.

I was surprised to hear my mother agree with him so readily, too, as she has worked with several migrant families over the years. I attempted to explain that foreign policy of brutal regimes influence immigration movements, and that, absent private property no system, whether "open" or "closed," could be truly moral and bring about maximal freedom.

I got the glassy-eyed stare a little bit. I assured them both that I agreed that the forced inclusion, welfare state policy of "open borders" in the context of violent nation states was wrong. I also assured them that forced exclusion based on anything other than private property, was also immoral.

In this live video, I will touch on immigration, but I mainly want to address this:

Everybody is currently fighting over who will get the "best seat" on the Titanic. Little do many individuals seem to realize that the whole thing is doomed to fail, and is sinking. While folks bicker, fight, kill and maim in the name of "left vs right," and vice versa, the ruling class sits back and laughs at us all from their towers.

The only real way out is to dispel the violent myths of statism, and to fight the common enemy: anti-propertarian, violent collectivism. in other words, the whole damn con game. Not just "the right" or "the left."

It sucks but I've noticed as my dad gets older he's starting to do the same thing.. He even stood up for Donald Trump during one of our phone calls and told me how he was trying to make America "great again" lol

I couldn't believe my ears since my dad was always the one who told me how shitty the government was etc etc.. Now it's my mom who is fighting against the government (mostly circumcision)

Can't win'em all I guess..

Give this a listen. However silly the tone of his words, how do you feel about Rothbard's claim that "public land should be divided between the heroes of the libertarian revolution." It shows Rothbard in a real, human light. It's fun. :)

The Fighting between politician is not a new way. It is historical that politician remains the enemy of another.

The politicians need each other too, to make a bogeyman of the opposite side or another country, to have control over the mass of people that believe they are fighting their "opponent".
Most politicians have no problem with each other behind the scene. Why would they, if the "opponent" is the one that brings him/her more power, control, money and fame etc.

Yes you are on the right way.
