Most of you may know, the food culture in Hong Kong is very rich and diverse. It offers up some really stunningly delicious cuisines from street food to Michelin Star Rated restaurants. Visitors are literally spoilt for choices available, hehe.

With so many amazing eatery spots in the city, I have rounded up a few of my personal favourites, lol:


Cantonese-style Barbecued Meat

The Roast Duck, "OMG", it has such great flavour to it as there is almost nothing better than that beautifully crisped up skin. It is most certainly my favourite bird served as a roast, lol.

Char Siu, which is chinese for barbecued pork, is marinated in five spices, soy bean paste and finally glazed over with honey. It is super delightful and essential to any Hong Kong resident's diet.

Dim Sum

This is the quintessential Hong Kong classic and there will most definitely be dishes suited for everyone's tastes. With so many different types of amazing dim sum, it is the perfect food to enjoy with a crowd of friends, family or both.

Pineapple Bun & Yuanyang Tea

The popular Pineapple Bun is not actually very “pineappley”, but is instead sort of a soft doughy sweet bread roll finished with a crunchy sugary top. After each bite, you can taste that crispy golden brown crust as well as a slip of butter that will melt in your mouth. It is totally irresistible!

Yuanyang Tea is a Hong Kong styled milk tea mixed with instant coffee. Being classic and quite addictive because of its unique taste, you will find it in almost every Hong Kong café. This, combined with the previous pineapple bun, makes for the best Hong Kong breakfast for me, lol!

The variety of food that Hong Kong hosts in it's various eateries, is mind-boggling to say the least. It is hard to list them all but the above mentions are somethings that I could eat every time I visit Hong Kong. Just make sure you don’t miss on any of these next time “you” are there!

众所周知,香港的饮食文化同时受到粤菜和西式文化的影响,食物种类多元化,广受欢迎。香港美食丰富多样,从街头小吃到米其林星级餐厅,真是应有尽有,让游客们大饱口福了,呵呵。

今天我在这里和大家分享一下我最爱的港式美味佳肴。

港式烧味

刚出炉的正宗港式烤鸭,皮脆,肉鲜,多汁,真是好吃得不得了!叉烧也非常棒,尤其是半肥瘦的部分,特别好吃,让你情不自禁地吮手指哦, 哈哈!

港式点心

这可是最经典的港式美食,各种形状和风味的点心会在蒸笼或小蝶中为你呈上,包有一款是你喜欢的,呵呵。在香港和家人或朋友一起喝早茶吃点心,是我最享受的事情之一,呵呵。

港式菠萝包和鸳鸯茶

菠萝包其实并没有菠萝成分,只是因为表面的酥皮与菠萝的外皮很相似,所以才被人成为菠萝包。新鲜出炉的菠萝包夹鲜牛油,酥香的菠萝皮和浓郁的牛油馅结合,非常惹味,让人无法抗拒。

港式鸳鸯奶茶是茶餐厅特有的饮品,由七成奶茶和三成咖啡混合而成的。它既有奶茶的香滑,又有咖啡的浓郁,所以名为鸳鸯。菠萝包和鸳鸯奶茶都是我每次去茶餐厅必点的,呵呵。

香港这个美食之都,好吃的当然远远不止以上这些,我就不一一列举了。大家下次有机会去香港的话,要试一试哦。

Peking duck or roast duck, both are delicious!!

These foods look delicious and very different from some of the food I normally see. There is large chinese buffet and they have a large assortment of foods, some americanized but your list really gives them a run for their money. Is picture number 7 in the Dim Sum list squid? They look very much like them. Frog legs were a fairly common item at the buffet, do you see that over in Hong Kong as well? Thank you for sharing, its making me very hungry.

This is perfect, we will be traveling to Hong Kong later this year and can't wait to try all the amazing food. Thanks for sharing this video!

Sorry you were outbid for my legendary card, but I didn't realize you were from HK. I was brought up there in the 80's-early 90's. I remember soooooo much good food over there and taking the MTR to find it :)

Hello @intrepidsurfer, I am not from Hong Kong but I know it well as my hometown Guangzhou is right next to HK and shares very similar food culture, lol.

I wish you have a chance to re-visit Hong Kong and enjoybtge delicious food again!

@rea there is not a dish like roasted duck, i wish I could eat it again, it has been such a long time ago, I am sure you have a good taste because I have eaten it, nice blog you let us know, enjoy it
