You can either buy steem or earn it. Steem can be bought using various exchange platforms such as poloniex, Bittrex, Blocktrades. You can also buy steem from fellow steemians within the steem blockchain and that is through exchanging through the steem market.
Steem can be earned through posting good content, commenting and engaging the community. It’s generally earned through contributing to the community.

The steem blockchain has several exciting dApps that are built on it that is dlive, dtube, dsound, Steepshot, Utopian.io, Steemit. These are attracting very many people including business people, university students, and organisations to explore the benefits of these platforms and in the process steem is being promoted where these newly attracted people and users get to study and come to the understanding of what steem is all about and buy in hence the great hope of steem price value to sky rocket in the near future.
