D Mismatch #1 👊 Hendricks vs Costa 👊
What's up fight fans?!?
Decided to make this fun little series where we watch some mismatches and blast the people who put them together, nah, but really some fights just don't make any sense. Today I've picked the former welterweight champion, Johny Hendricks and the Brazillian upcoming star Paulo Costa.
This fight was weird for so many reasons, Johny was losing every fight in the middleweight division while Paulo won every fight he was in so far. Yes, Johny was the welterweight champ at one point but he looked like a sacrificial lamb going into this one. Having issues making weight even at middleweight we all still kinda hoped to see that magic touch that put all those people away in his first years of fighting for the UFC.
The fight you'll about to watch was definitely a great fight even tho I wasn't so excited at first, we saw fireworks!

Poor ole Hendricks... went from arguably beating gsp, winning the title and then kinda went downhill from there... plus, usada seemed to have an effect too... I am a big rig fan though!
USADA fucked him big time, but as you say, big fan of big rig as well and it kinda feels right he retired.
Well that's how you create a star right? By letting him beat some names. But yeah that was a ridiculous fight...
