Noosa Festival of Surfing - Dog Surfing

From the 2nd until the 10th of march the Noosa Festival of Surfing take place in the small town of Noosa on the Sunshine Coast. It´s already the 28th year of the Festival and it is more popular than ever.

This year it also is a tourstop of the WSL - The World Surf League

But this is not the reason we went there. The main reason was the Dog Surfing Contest on Sunday.

Vom 2. bis 10. März findet das Noosa Festival of Surfing in der Kleinstadt Noosa an der Sunshine Coast statt. Es ist bereits das 28. Jahr des Festivals und es ist beliebter als je zuvor.

Dieses Jahr ist es auch ein Tourstop der WSL - The World Surf League

Aber das ist nicht der Grund, warum wir dorthin gegangen sind. Der Hauptgrund war der Dog Surfing Contest am Sonntag.

Apart from many other competitions like Longboard, Old Mals, Woman Logger Pro and all the age groups with their short boards, there is one competitions which gets the most attention.

The Dog Surfing Contest, where owners surf together with their dogs. Usually they surf on pretty big Longboards or Stand-Up Paddle Boards.

The dogs had so much fun and it was funny to watch them. We had a closer look at some of them before the contest started.

Neben vielen anderen Wettbewerben wie Longboard, Old Mals, Woman Logger Pro und allen Altersklassen mit ihren kurzen Boards gibt es einen Wettbewerb, der die meiste Aufmerksamkeit auf sich zieht.

Der Dog Surfing Contest, bei dem Besitzer zusammen mit ihren Hunden surfen. Normalerweise surfen sie auf ziemlich großen Longboards oder Stand-Up-Paddleboards.

Die Hunde hatten so viel Spaß und es war lustig, sie zu beobachten. Wir haben uns einige von ihnen genauer angesehen, bevor der Wettbewerb begann.

Unfortunately there is not much photos of the surfing action since my lens is still broken. But a few shots with the phone should be enough to show how much fun it was.

Leider gibt es nicht viele Fotos von der Surfaktion, da mein Objektiv immer noch kaputt ist. Aber ein paar Aufnahmen mit dem Phone sollten ausreichen, um zu zeigen, wie viel Spaß es gemacht hat.
