News about Palma
Today we received the results of the analyzes. Unfortunately, our worst fears were confirmed: Palma has dirofilariasis! Perhaps her heart problems were a consequence of this. Treatment of dirofilariasis is very long and rather difficult. But it can not be ignored, it can be deadly. We started therapy today. Because it is contagious, we need to check all other dogs. I plan to do this in the next two weeks.
Surprisingly, today Palma behaved very well at the veterinary clinic. I didn’t understand what happened to her yesterday when she organized such a terrible show! But immediately after arriving home, she ... ate the catheter! Now we will have to go back to the clinic tomorrow so that the vet can put in a new catheter because the IVs have been prescribed.

HEARTWORMS....!
I had to look it up. We treated our Siberian Husky for that 5 yrs back. We opted for the 12 month dosage treatments. Very expensive. Clean bill of health now. She is 11yrs old.
