I'm the beach cleaning dog :)) 🐕
I have different tasks to do during the day. One of them is tidying up the beach. I do not know where all the plastic on the beach comes from, but it's really ugly there. People are strange. They enjoy the beautiful beach and the great environment and then they just leave their garbage behind.
My human told me - if no one cleans it up, it will land in the sea and then the fish will eat it and die or get very sick. Or the fish lands full of plastic in my bowl as food and I also get sick. My humans don't eat animals but I do.
And with this understanding I know it's better to help a bit cleaning up.
I know exactly what doesn't belong to the beach and I pick it up.
I bring it over to my human and then we walk together to the next bin.
Even when it's very windy out there I do my Job.
And look at my lazy brother - stands there and waits till the work is done ;)
There is plastic everywhere - in the sand, between the grass - I have to look carefully for it. But my nose is very helpful in finding things. I even had training for finding lost humans - but I'll tell you about that in another post.
For now I have only one request:: Please humans take care of your environment and of the animals living in it. Just use the bins and pick up some plastic if you see it in the nature.

Actually, I love to "work" - everything that activates my grey cells makes me happy.
Cleaning up the beach, bringing things they ask for to my humans, all this is just a game for me and I love it!
What kind of puppy do you have? Perhaps I have some tips for activating your puppy :)

Oh Pomeranians are intelligent dogs - and usually very active. They are also descended from a working dog breed. They were good for taking care on farms as they just love to bark if someone comes near their home. Does your puppy like to bark? Usually Pomeranians like to learn and do things - I don't know why your puppy is lazy. I'm always working for a treat - everybody likes to get paid...isn't it? Maybe your puppy just needs the right motivation ;)

Marley, what a great job you have! Sniffing around on the beach! But it's very nescessary unfortunately. Humans are weird indeed. We live in the countryside and here there's also a lot of garbage. Our humans have explained the same thing as your humans have. Clean up the garbage or animals will eat it and get sick or even worse, die because of it. Our humans don't eat animals, just like your humans! But we do of course! But the difference here is that humans, (not our humans), throw away their dirt and garbage in the ditch. And often their is rotten food in that ... so we are not allowed to help cleaning up the ditches. Boss and Lady-boss are affraid for us to get sick because of it. We are not as sweet as you, we don't bring everything to our humans. Especially Lana, se eats everyting she can find.
Keep up your good work and about your big brother ... well I think he's willing to help but not able anymore. Just like Lex here ... They are just old boys.

Yes, indeed @shepherd-stories (to all you are mentioning). I do not eat anything I find outside. Except sometimes when I find these funny very little balls ... they smell like rabbits - they must have forgotten them in the grass. Sometimes there are hundreds of them - but I only take one or two. Then my humans tell me not to do that - and I was so sure they were not looking.
Snoop is indeed too old to work. He's retired and that's good because he would eat everything including the package around.
Once I saw him with these nets in his mouth with food inside for the birds during the winter ... he would not let it go. But somehow my humans managed to get it out of his mouth. Crazy old boy he is.
