DSM #DollarChallenge
The other day @dixiesilverminer wrote a post called What can you buy with 500 Dram?. In the post he talked about the exchange rate of it being equal to roughly $1 US Dollar. He then went on to ask what you could buy with your dollar and had a challenge to find an error for some SBD equal to a dollar.
I took him up on the offer and found the error on the page. He sent me the prize money of 0.32679738562091504 SBD and it gave me an idea. In the comments people said what they could buy with their dollar where they were. I'm going to take this a step farther and show you what I can buy with my dollar.
The Challenge
I'm going to give myself until May 31st to turn this dollar into something good, then have a surprise at the end. I plan on showing you all the transactions I make along the way and I got a jump on it this morning.
This is where it started. I took a $1 coin with me today to see what I could find. I'm not going to be able to find anything in a store to make my dollar grow, so garage sales it is. Stopped at a few and it was the usual baby stuff, clothes from the 70's and plastic dollar store trash. Then I found my diamond in the rough.
Records
They were asking $.50 each but I managed to score 3 records for my $1. Now I had $0 but 3 records. And not just any old records. Look at these beauties. I mean who doesn't need a Dancing at the Discotheque record in their collection.
The Shimmy, Wobble, Cha Cha.... this one has them all.
Dumb little Ditties has all the smash hits including On top of Spaghetti, My Ding-a-Ling and Monster Mash. A must have for any collection.
And this one says it all. Disco Single. Bright Pink with a set of lips. No clue who Dan Hartman is but it looked good.
But it doesn't end there
I have a bunch of friends in the music industry. I put out a call to one of my buddies who is a DJ. Told him I had some records that may have some good samples on them. He checked them out and said he would give me $1 each for them. I guess that's the going rate for misc records.
I took him up on the offer for a dollar each. Now I have $3 and 21 days to see what I can turn this into. Keep following along my journey at #DollarChallenge.

yay, sweet win!! i lived in nyc for over 25 years so "the lady" as i call her is a sweet reminder of my old hometown. i could see her everyday from my apt and on the way too and from work. i love her!

I lived in NYC a couple times...I'm not much of a city person. The challenge is dixie asked what you could get for a dollar. People said Gum, pop, fast food and other cheap stuff. I'm taking a dollar and flipping it for 3 weeks to see how much I can make. It should be interesting @eaglespirit.
oh great! yeah i'm done with the city, that's why i left then i had to work in SF after that and the only work i could get in colorado was in denver! god help me.

An amazing 200% profit in only one trade and it is not in cryptos! I can't even imagine what will happen at the end of the month.

I don't get it either. It's part of my homework for minnow boot camp. All the other posts work fine. That one just disappears as soon as I post it. Thanks for letting me know you can't see it either. I was wondering.
