While I actually do enjoy the period we're currently live in (it's been the best of Earth's history), I would like to see what the future holds beyond some kind of cataclysmic event, since that seems to be where we're headed.
I don't see it as a bot invasion, though, just for the record. :)
Regardless, the point is surviving whatever event changes life (and destroys it) as we know it, and what happens on the other side of it. Do we learn from our fatal mistake (those that do live on) and come together as one, or do we break off into tribes and fight each other over whatever usable resources are left?
In other words, which of all the Dystopian possibilities actually wins out? Is there any hope for humanity after we've pretty much obliterate ourselves? I don't know if I'm up to living in that time, but I would like to know, for curiosity's stake. :)

re: bot invasion
I think I know where you're going with this, and maybe invasion is more of a slow take over process that becomes more and more natural to each successive generation. Possible, I suppose, and predicted, if Dan Brown's latest book Origin is any indication.
I think Idiocracyis already happening. It didn't take very long to get there, either.
re: UI
I'd rather not be ruled over by anything, let alone something that won't be able to truly have emotions or make judgments based on anything else other than the information its been given.
I think technology should be there to make some useful or necessary things possible, and that it should be left alone, or much more clearly thought out and war gamed, for things that aren't. I don't know how many times someone has said, "Oh, it will never be used for that," or something similar, and the next thing you know, it's actually being used for something far worse than the original issue.

I'd like to be optimistic, but mostly, I try to be realistic. Unless there's something to prove that human nature has turned a corner, then more likely than not, we're doomed to repeat history, not overcome it.
