With respect to my last week poll, I discovered that 50% of #steem users knew about steem through word of mouth.
From the above result, it therefore calls for concern whether promoting #steem on #twitter could in any way add value to #steem. This forms the basis for this @dpoll to gain feedback from #steem users, preferably, those promoting #steemtweets.
Thus, how does #steemtweets affect the price of #steem?

maybe you could compare numbers of Twitter followers of different crypto-developers, but I don't know if you can find a direct connection.
Earlier Google searches appeared to show a relation with Bitcoin and Ether prices.

I would say at this point, the increase in tweeting going on has had little to do with moving the STEEM price meter so far. That's not to say it shouldn't be done. It just means that those who are seeing the tweets and acting on them are not the large, big time investors that will actually cause the price of STEEM to rise.
I haven't seen the tweets going out, but if they're similar to what was happening early days with YouTube, instead of attracting large investors to the platform, they'll attract those who are looking for a low entry point to crypto, thinking they won't have to invest to earn rewards here.
So, the tweets should continue (positive, ongoing marketing is better than none and could eventually lead to something). It just won't move the STEEM price up without heavy hitters, and that's probably going to take more than just a few tweets to manifest.
