No 2 How important is funding to make more and bigger Apps on Steem

The SOS-forums serve extremely well in collecting knowledge and creating ideas. But what comes next? How to come from ideation to action?
This poll helps identify impactful and feasible actions. It is no 2 in a series of five. By answering these polls you help building a strategy to develop Steem further. For the background of this and the links to the other polls please check out this post. https://steemit.com/steem/@impactn/where-to-go-setting-up-a-strategy-for-the-future-of-steem-test-stage-1

Here comes the question:

Where would you put “funding” in this matrix?

  • C low feasibility / low impact (lower left corner)

  • A low feasibility / high impact (upper left corner)

  • D high feasibility / low impact (lower right corner)

  • B high feasibility / high impact (upper right corner)

Long-term, I think that quality ideas attract funding, but short-term that's more of a challenge. Instead of thinking about funding for a whole idea, we could think about funding for a proof-of-concept (incubator-like). Then teams that can execute a proof of concept should have little difficult attracting more funding (and there should be a firm commitment to return some of that funding to the incubation pool to fund more ideas to proof of concept).

Interesting idea. We could offer ImpactN as a use case for that.

@josephsavage @dustsweeper @dustbunny We're just starting our proof-of-concept. At the moment we are adressing social projects and enterprises OUTSIDE Steem community to test our services as described in the post. Concerning funding: any idea on how to get some bigger delegations for at least 2 months would be great.
This would make the whole prototype much more attractive for the first customers and give us the possibility to achieve some basic funding through curation.
Thanks for sharing your ideas on this.
