What factor surges more engagement among users? - My first @dpoll
While am still a newbie on this platform, am seeking to know What factor surges more engagement among users
I discover that sometimes on takes so much time to create long and quality contents, yet earn very little engagement from other users. Meanwhile, others may create short posts, with so much engagement from other users.
By engagement, I mean comments, number of upvotes and vote value. As it is expected of users to create good contents, those blogs should have good level of interaction from others.
This poll seeks to know the factors that are responsible for a good engagement of users' post on the #steem platform.
I hope this poll will have a good engagement being my first poll via the @dpoll platform/

Content quality should be number one, and could prevail in the end, but not without a solid network behind it. I guess that's a catch-22 of sorts, but those posts you note with plenty of upvotes and engagement despite being lacking in substance didn't get that way through quality.
An affiliated community, for the most part, is going to be the way that network begins, depending on the size of it. I would have liked an 'other' option to vote on, because I believe that the best thing a user can do, particularly a newer one, aside from finding a community to belong in, is to engage on other people's posts as often as possible. Posts are important, but people need to know you exist, and they won't know that if you don't go track them down and comment and upvote on their posts.

Affiliated community, but follwership is a closely related second. Here by followers I mean people who pay attention to a user, not merely the mechanical act of following—which is purely psychological shorthand.
Since the whole chain is visible it's relatively easy to have many curated lists of users one follows. It doesn't have to be a published fact on the blockchain.
But as long as the 'Follow' button is there, most people will use it like it means something. And so it will.
