What is the reasonable amount for a regular person to spend on a smartphone?


I think if you work in a terrible stressfull work environment, you shouldn't spend your hard earned cash for slightly better phone than a 300 USD perfectly fine phone

Some people are earning 1-2 USD / hour, in other countries, 30-40. So, it depends on the preson, wage, earning
or the number of slaves you have in your factory/ranch/farm...

I guess this depends on what regular is meant to mean. With the way some plans are, at least in the United States, you can pay for your phone in installments along with your bill, so you don't feel the pain of paying for the $1,000 iphone up front.

That said, not everyone wants to spend that much on a phone, or has the money to put to even on a monthly basis. Still, an expensive smartphone isn't really that much of a luxury item anymore, considering how much people use them, and how much time they spend on them. It's virtually what they're computer would be anyway.
