What kind of Rechargeable Batteries should I buy?

It looks like Planned Obsolescence has become a reality we cannot escape and Rechargeable Batteries are now designed to fail after 2 or 3 years of usage...

Last time I've bought 8 Philips Rechargeable Batteries and 2 years later, 7 of them died in the same week. Ridiculous. This should be illegal.

What Batteries should I get next?

  • A Well-Known and more Expensive Brand (like Philips, Panasonic, Duracell, etc...)

  • A Unknown Chinese but much Cheaper Brand

  • Non-Rechargeable Batteries

Answer the question at dpoll.xyz.

Sort:

the one that didn't die must be defective!!!!

So far, it looks like the majority of people prefer to pay full price for an item that is designed to last less than it should. 😶

Voted for Non-Rechargeable Batteries.

Ehehehe! I'm starting to feel the same. Why bother with rechargeable batteries if their life is so short?

That is pretty much my reasoning. Especially with gadgets that last a long time on a charge anyways.
Time degradation would affect the rechargeable ones badly.

Another question... why should I still trust those brands, knowing that they are ripping us off?

I thought it would be better for the environment. Hm. I probably have to inform myself : D
