PewDiePie Goes To Exclusively Stream On DLive - What Do You Think?

  • I Will Never Forgive These DLive Scammers

  • DLive Isn't Sustainable Anyways

  • I'm Very Happy About It

  • DLive IS Future

  • Vimm.TV IS Future

  • It's Just One Project. There Will Be Many Competitors To It

  • DLive Is Just Buying Themselves Marketing

I feel sad we don't have a marketing team, we don't have a promotional budget and I think we are missing out on great opportunities.

I think we will never get attention when we don't upgrade our apps, market or do promotional things to garner attention.

We aren't going to fail, but we certainly aren't growing or capitalizing on opportunities.

At least the @steemhunt and @dlike IEOs got some attention. I think us being social media gets in the way of promoting ourselves on other social media. @steemmonsters is partnering with a Tron block producer. So things will eventually change. But many times I've wished w had a marketing budget and a team like Dash. Luckily we are ahead of everybody else when it comes to tech development.

The steemalliance and future foundation will possibly be able to fund these things.

That would be excellent! Looking at what DLive did, paying some influencers to join and create exclusive content would be a great move. PewDiePie has basically beaten all of DLive and he hasn't even started streaming yet:

I've written a bit more here: https://steemit.com/analysis/@vimukthi/analysis-of-current-state-of-dlive-lack-of-transparency-future-plans-statistics-social-media-presence-token-economy-and-how

We aren't going to fail, but we certainly aren't growing or capitalizing on opportunities.

The latter may introduce the former.

Steemit should have applied similar tactics LONG AGO - and it's not too late to learn from DLive: assign a hefty marketing budget and go out and convince (pay if you have to) the great bloggers to come to blog on Steemit!

While I'm not at all happy that Dlive up and left, it was there prerogative, and perhaps the epitome of the blockchain's version of buyer beware. They may not be the last dApp to set up shop, make some money, build a community, then take off for their own greener blockchain.

PewDiePie going to Dlive will be a big feather in Dlive's cap, and it could very well introduce all kinds of his fans to crypto. It's said it's not happening on STEEM, really, even if I'm not a PewDiePie fan, he's is/was one of the largest YouTubers. Even if a fraction of his subscribers join Dlive, that will be amazing.

However, I do believe as time rolls along, there will be other chains and even other Dlive competitors on STEEM, and who knows. Maybe a lesson will be learned from the last time.

My concern is that there really isn't enough transparency. I might write a post about this. They have not mentioned how much tokens they own and they are as decentralized as FB coin. They say 1 LINO Point is $0.012 and sell 57 points for $0.99 on appstores. Basically Apple and Google are getting rich off of these guys with their 30% cut
