The Begonia Coccinea is one of my favorite of this series.
I am particularly keen not only on the overall shape of the subject, the coloring technique too.
I think the curly shapes are complemented by the minimal attempt to control the paint therefore, the outcome.

I think you are right, the curly shapes or the way some angles are formed sometimes do complement the way colours add character to a drawing :) Sometimes paint needs its own organic method to achieve finish and in that, there is artistry, too :)
