Inktober #11 Cruel

When I thought of this theme I got stuck with this very cruel character, the headsman, the executioner. And what could be even more terrifying than putting a child next to this brute, a pure soul.

I got inspiration from medieval stories of such characters, merciless in nature.

The process:

Part 1. Outlining the scene with the characters

Part 2. Adding mass to them, making them tangible

Part 3. Putting the writing on (which at this point makes the scene so much crueler)

Part 4. Ending with the inking and adding some more details where needed

I'm glad I managed to draw this one, it was pretty hard. The whole idea is cruel, but I guess Halloween is coming, with ghosts and ghouls, so there must be some of this too.
