Illustration to the Bible - Books Genesis chapter five

in #drawing5 years ago

Greetings, my friends! Cloudy days are created by God for the sharpness of our sensations. After a cloudy day, a clear and sunny day is perceived in a special way. On a cloudy day, a hot cup of coffee or tea smells in a special way.

If you now have clouds over your head, or fog, like ours, thank God for this. Soon everything will change and you will have more impressions.

If you have already visited us, then you know that I have taken it upon myself to illustrate the chapters of the Holy Scripture - the Bible. I started drawing from the first chapter of Genesis.

Today came the turn of the fifth chapter.

I read it many times, sometimes I just missed it. There lists, pedigree and nothing more. At first glance, there is nothing interesting there and nothing this chapter can not teach us. But this is a mistake. We need to understand the character of our God, so that we understand what He wants to tell us through His Word.

Below, I will quote this chapter of the Book of Genesis, it will be easier for you to understand the Word of God, my thoughts on this and an illustration.

For Example -

source - The Holy Bible - Genesis Chpt. 5

1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day when God made man, he made him in the image of God;

2 Male and female he made them, naming them Man, and giving them his blessing on the day when they were made.

3 Adam had been living for a hundred and thirty years when he had a son like himself, after his image, and gave him the name of Seth:

4 And after the birth of Seth, Adam went on living for eight hundred years, and had sons and daughters:

5 And all the years of Adam's life were nine hundred and thirty: and he came to his end.

6 And Seth was a hundred and five years old when he became the father of Enosh:

7 And he went on living after the birth of Enosh for eight hundred and seven years, and had sons and daughters:

8 And all the years of Seth's life were nine hundred and twelve: and he came to his end.

9 And Enosh was ninety years old when he became the father of Kenan:

10 And after the birth of Kenan, Enosh went on living for eight hundred and fifteen years, and had sons and daughters:

11 And all the years of Enosh were nine hundred and five: and he came to his end.

12 And Kenan was seventy years old when he became the father of Mahalalel:

13 And after the birth of Mahalalel, Kenan went on living for eight hundred and forty years, and had sons and daughters:

14 And all the years of Kenan's life were nine hundred and ten; and he came to his end.

15 And Mahalalel was sixty-five years old when he became the father of Jared:

16 And after the birth of Jared, Mahalalel went on living for eight hundred and thirty years, and had sons and daughters:

17 And all the years of Mahalalel's life were eight hundred and ninety-five: and he came to his end.

18 And Jared was a hundred and sixty-two years old when he became the father of Enoch:

19 And Jared went on living after the birth of Enoch for eight hundred years, and had sons and daughters:

20 And all the years of Jared's life were nine hundred and sixty-two: and he came to his end.

21 And Enoch was sixty-five years old when he became the father of Methuselah:

22 And after the birth of Methuselah, Enoch went on in God's ways for three hundred years, and had sons and daughters:

23 And all the years of Enoch's life were three hundred and sixty-five:

24 And Enoch went on in God's ways: and he was not seen again, for God took him.

25 And Methuselah was a hundred and eighty-seven years old when he became the father of Lamech:

26 And after the birth of Lamech, Methuselah went on living for seven hundred and eighty-two years, and had sons and daughters:

27 And all the years of Methuselah's life were nine hundred and sixty-nine: and he came to his end.

28 And Lamech was a hundred and eighty-two years old when he had a son:

29 And he gave him the name of Noah, saying, Truly, he will give us rest from our trouble and the hard work of our hands, because of the earth which was cursed by God.

30 And after the birth of Noah, Lamech went on living for five hundred and ninety-five years, and had sons and daughters:

31 And all the years of Lamech's life were seven hundred and seventy-seven: and he came to his end.

32 And when Noah was five hundred years old, he became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

So, this is a pedigree, it begins from Adam and goes further into the ages. People lived for a very long time, many hundreds of years. Imagine, they were like God, they were almost pessmer. They gave a large offspring, the number of people on our planet grew.

But, do you remember? In the last chapter, God expelled Cain from his face for killing his brother, Abel. He cursed everyone who encroached on Cain's life. Then another curse appeared on those who would encroach on the life of Cain's grandson. The previous curse has multiplied seventy times, and so, generation by generation. This is an astronomical figure that was supposed to cover all living people on Earth.

Before that, there was another curse, every snake would bite a man in the heel.

Two years ago we bought land and decided to start building a house. We started to build with faith, we did not have the means to complete the construction today. But, we had different options, build cheaply and quickly enter a house, or build like God says on a solid foundation. We followed the path of God. For whoever builds on sand is doomed to ruin, failure. I designed a very powerful foundation, which ate most of our tools. I was able to lift only the walls of the first floor and stopped at that. The house is worth it, not completed, but, I do not regret. So it is necessary for God.

All this became the basis for illustration.

These generations of long-livers have chosen a desert for their lives. The place where there is no God. They were proud of themselves and had no fellowship with God. This means that they did not take care of a solid foundation. They began to build their home on quicksand. I depicted it on a miniature in the form of a brickwork, which stands on a sandy foundation.

DSC02876.JPG

The serpent, you can’t go anywhere with him, this is pride. These people were very proud of themselves.

DSC02874.JPG

God was always with these people. He waited for them to turn to Him, and He would become their foundation, but this did not happen. I depicted this foundation in the form of an oasis that is full of life. These people needed only to reach out to him, but their pride would not allow them to do this.

DSC02875.JPG

I depicted it as an hourglass, very little time was left, judging by the amount of sand in the upper vessel of the clock.

DSC02878.JPG

Dried plant, it is like a bad foundation. If this plant is not planted in good soil, do not care for it, do not water it, it will wither.

DSC02880.JPG

The Word of God is the wisdom, the truth, the source of life, I depicted it in the form of an open book.

DSC02879.JPG

The end, or the sunset of humanity, of those generations that are described in this chapter, I depicted in the form of scavenging birds. Scavengers always know in advance where they will profit from carrion.

DSC02877.JPG

So, gradually the miniature illustration I drew on an A5 format sheet began to acquire its features and became the same as in this photo.

DSC02886.JPG

So the miniature looks on the main sheet. I still have to work on the main sheet, but the paste with which I painted it is over, and I couldn’t find another suitable one.

DSC02871.JPG

Thank God, the five chapters of the Book of Being, in the form of illustrations, are already near!

Amazing @roninrelax .. would like to see more, I like it when you put a good explanation of everything you draw here.

Thank you very much @cicisaja ! Soon there will be a continuation, I finish drawing an illustration to the sixth chapter.

😉 that'd be really nice to wait @barski..uhmm no I mean @roninrelax😉 I wonder how it looks like when you arranged all the drawing into a big picture part by part then. Keep steeming!

@cicisaja I was wondering the same thing!!! It will be beautiful!!! These sketches are awesome, keep up the great works @roninrelax

Isn't that crazy @charisma777? Drawing with ballpoint? There's no chance to make a mistake or muscalculate the size and measurement.

Very good illustrated post, these people from before lived for many years, this is something out of the ordinary, but that's the story.

Thank you very much @betzaelcorvo! I hope that I will soon publish the illustration to the sixth chapter.
