Breast-feeding milk from the cat's breasts as a sign of pregnancy - a dream interpretation

in #dream5 years ago

Hello, I will deeply appreciate knowing the meaning of the dream I dreamed tonight. First, some details about me - I am 30 years old, happily married. My husband and I encounter difficulties in our attempts to get pregnant, and that is mainly what has preoccupied me in recent months.

The dream

I dreamed that my cat, a beautiful black cat, was giving birth to several puppies. I'm in some house on a tree, and my cat is nursing two of her cubs - they are beautiful and gray. Outside, in my garden, there are strange animals roaming freely. These are animals I invented because there are no such things in real life - the head of a camel with the body of a chicken and all kinds of strange animals of this kind. The animals speak to me in Hebrew. I'm afraid the animals might touch the puppies and cause my cat to reject them if they lose their scent, but the animals reassure me that it will not happen. Then in my tree house, with my husband, and while the cat is nursing two of the puppies, I take a sip from her breast too, and hold the milk in my throat for a few seconds until I decide whether I have done anything immoral or whether her milk will bring me good luck. Finally, I swallow. Yes, strange, I know. Any ideas?

My Interpretation

Did, in reality, your cat gןve birth? Does she have puppies?

No

I am very fond of one sentence that you wrote in describing your dream - "These are animals that I invented because there are no such things in real life." And later on, the dream certainly describes an unrealistic event in which you suck on the cat's breast.

In my opinion, there is a message here that reflects a deep basic belief in you (which may be shared by your partner). It seems that you still do not accept as a realistic possibility the reality in which you will become pregnant. I have no idea why.

Every physical and biological event like conception is closely related to the choice we make. You will get pregnant in a natural way when you choose. This is a real choice that only can come from a deep place in you, it's not s mere mental mantra.

The dream vividly describes the reality that you invented - and you yourself emphasize it - to teach you that with the same ease and measure you can "invent" (i.e. create) a reality in which you will be pregnant. The dream is a guiding dream to encourage you. It speaks specifically of the potential in which you get pregnant. By suckling the milk, you get the blessed energy that you can bring into your everyday reality, the physical reality. Breathe deeply into the dream.

I thank you so much, David, your interpretation is exactly what I should have heard. I have been trying in recent months to convince myself that it is possible, and try to think positively as much as possible, but deep inside I have a lot of fear that these are just dreams. You're right - it has to come from the depths of my thoughts and heart.

Thank you very much and it's high time for me to start doing real mental work, without inhibitions, at any price.

I also recommend that your mental work involves a real emotional choice, that's what I meant. Our mind, through thoughts only, is limited in its ability to choose. When we choose something (like the choice to get pregnant) we pass beyond the brain, the mental thinking, and create a craving from a deep place of the true recognition in our ability to create reality as creators.

Any specific place you take dreams for future interpretations?
One question I have is in regards to nightmares/seemingly dark dreams and the idea that we can control/change our realities--both waking and dreaming. I do what I can to honor my dreams by writing them down and taking specific actions in the waking realm, but continue to have these kinds of dreams.
As I write, there is a part of me saying that's just fine--where I am at is where I am at, but I also feel somewhat self-conscious reading other people's advice and statements that we are creating our own reality, for this means I am inviting in these dark situations--some part of me must want them.?
Thoughts?

Basically, there are two categories of dark dreams. The ones who are reflective and those who are real, that is, when you actually visit dark (=unbalanced) realities. Since the latter is rare I will address the first type. This is the kind of dreams you usually have when you have nightmares.
Nightmares penetrate your awareness in the dream because you block that in your awakening hours. They show you a part in you, an aspect, that is not accepted, that is denied, rejected, by you. While i prefer to leave the dreams to themselves there is a benefit in analysing nightmares, especially if they are recurring.
Once you address the issue, usually by accepting that aspect into your consciousness, the nightmares of that kind stop. It's good to remember throughout the process that the nightmares have no power or control over you, and that you are safe. This will help you remain in the dream and extract the wisdom from it.
I hope I answered. 🙂

Yes, your answer is helpful. Thank you for taking the time.
I agree that the dreams are where this awareness lies, rather than the waking consciousness. I have my ideas about what they're related to, and have been working with them for some time, but seem unable to fully get the message(s) and move on, as they do not stop.
I do know the benefit of working with dreams in order to receive the wisdom offered, that they don't have power over me, (even though I sometimes wake from the dreams) and it can feel like most of my work is done during sleeping hours. I have worked with some repressed memories &/or lapses in memory and so it is not surprising that I am still hiding things from myself, but have worked so long and hard on seeing and accepting and still parts elude me.
Anyway, hope I'm not dumping too much here and thank you again. I've enjoyed reading your posts which I find illuminating.

You are most welcome.
Another thought - maybe you are working too hard with your dreams, too much effort in analyzing and dissecting a process of rebalancing that otherwise should have flown effortlessly? 🤔

Yes, that's a possibility!

My teacher's wise advice @nomad-magus

I personally interpret everything that happens in life whether it's a dream or not. Interpretation itself is identical with the attitude we choose when looking at something: realistic or pessimistic. Positive or negative. And each person has his own interpretation in this life.

Thanks for this My Teacher @nomad-magus

👍 Indeed. It's much better to trust your own analysis that someone else's.
