The Jubei Stormy - Sake, Ginger Beer & Lime Espuma.

in #drinks6 years ago

I discovered this drink in a new Ramen restaurant I was visiting. It may not have kicked like a mule, but it was thoroughly delicious!

JAPANESE MULE

Apparently this drink has its origins in Russia, where 2 friends decided to mix Ginger Beer and Vodka. As the Japanese have a habit of doing, they take something good and make it better. Simply substitute the Vodka for a shot of Sake', mix in some local fresh lime juice and you have the basis of your Japanese Mule.

MY JUBEI STORMY

My Jubei Stormy, took the simple mule one step further by whipping up a delightfully fresh and frothy egg-white and lime espuma. Sippy the potent mix below through this marshmallowy-like foam on top was a real taste-treat.

This drink, is relatively simple to make, except for perhaps the foamy top, and is simply delicious. If you love the bite of ginger beer, the snap of Sake and the sourness of lime then this is the drink for you. Hunt one down at your local Japanese bar, you won't regret it.
