A Fool and Her Beans: A Drop in the Ocean Post
Three magic beans
Were placed in my hand.
The price for my cow
With "fool" for my brand.
Shame in the trade,
Yet hope in my soul,
That three scattered beans
Might mine to their goal.
Ascend to the sky
On stalk and on leaf!
Take flight, child-like dreams,
Fly beyond my belief!
My cow might have earned
A fair price from the farm.
Should this stalk lead to glory?
Might it bring us all harm?
Winding high in the sky
To a place I can't see.
I reach up to the stalk
And grasp Opportunity.

I love fairy tales, I love the poem. I do honestly confess Jack and the Beanstalk is not one of my favourites, though I forgive him for being a dreamer as I am myself. Dreams can never become real if we do not have any. My favourite part of the tale is the harp girl, I remember an old cartoon and me wanting to play harp. And I dreamt, and I did.
Ohhhhh I love this!!!! And now we get the privilege of hearing you play your harp!!!!!

aww indeed :) I love fairy tales, I think they teach us so many things... and they are indeed not only meant for children... as lessons about how to be fair, brave are just universal.
Yes - I've actually written children's books (like you!) and I love how they appeal to children and adults!

She is lucky it was Opportunity , and not his asshole sister Ponzi, now they may set off to the ball to dance giggling and awkward, not sure what the steps are just making sure to not mess it up too much, else he might go for that tart with the pretty dress and crown, not that she is a queen she just thinks she is, parents money that is, she thinks she can just buy Opportunity.
Very nice story dreem, it does let me think of blind faith which I am not a big fan of, mostly a person can weigh the pros and cons of things but in a situation where it is all in many would shy away, a rare few would even reach the point of planting that stalk which maybe is an opening for us to spot those moments that others may believe are the all in Opportunities.
I believe that all in should always be attempted alone because being willing to lose yourself is nothing compared to risking loss to others.
Yes... i'm always careful to put my family at very little risk whenever I have some of my crazier ideas ;)
