Nostalgia can be a past or present event in life. A time gone past you wish was still here. A time of now and a different place to be. Nostalgia is a personal thing. It can be different for everyone. Nostalgic times often come about at celebratory times, such as the season just past, new year, birthdays or anniversaries.
That sentimental moment we would like to live again. The one we can't reproduce. The moment that eludes the present time. A memory brought to the surface. A personal moment relived in the mind.
Nostalgia for me has yet to come. I do feel nostalgic about what might be. Can you feel nostalgic about something that has not happened yet? I think I do. To some degree anyway, I may not be able to see what the future is like, But! I can imagine different futures. One of these futures does provide for a nostalgic feeling. Maybe in time I will look back and remember this post while feeling the nostalgia I see in a future time.
Looking out to a field of green. Youngsters imaginations running wild and free. Their futures not yet written. Futures unlimited to explore. More freedom to live, less pressure to acquire. Being able to have the joy of the moment and create their own nostalgic moments.

It feels good to imagine such a beautiful future. I hope the melancholy of nostalgia doesn't mar it any.
This was sweet. I try not to get nostalgic about things in the past, but sometimes I catch myself doing so. I like your attitude of looking forward, instead. :)
Yup looking back things are restricted by the facts. Looking forward there is no restriction. If we can think it, we can make it be.
