The battle week begins...
Players sure did take our weekend event seriously. During the last two days, all units were 50% off if you had bought them with DWD tokens. A lot of you used this time and took an opportunity to grow your army. Over the weekend, around 15K of DWD tokens have been spent on purchasing units and we are very pleased to see you using them in the game. You have made us so happy that we decided to award you for it. Since you purchased enough units, now we will reward you for using them.
The next event will take place from Monday to Sunday, for the entire next week. To make it even more interesting, it will not be the only thing that will be going on. We have some more goodies in our bag of treats and our plan of giving away DWD tokens is far from over. We did announce a week of fun activities for you to participate in and get some tokens, didn't we? Let the fun begin!
For the next seven days, the daily battle reward for reducing the population will be 5 times bigger! You have purchased units with DWD tokens? Now you have a chance not only to win those tokens back but to earn even more. Who will be the winner of the battle week? Will it be you?
How do you reduce population?
Population of Drugwars is calculated by multiplying a unit with its supply and adding up all those together from all units of all players. By participating in battles, winning players kill units from other players. Those units multiplied by their supply are the amount by which the overall population has been reduced. Since different units have different supplies, it is not the same to kill 100 Hobos (supply = 100*1 = 100) and 100 Ninjas (supply = 100*5 = 500) for example. At the end of each day, results from all the battles a player has won get added together and based on the total reduction of Drugwars population, a player gets rewarded. If you have reduced the population of drugwars by 20%, you will get 20% of the daily battle reward. For the next seven days, that prize will be FIVE TIMES BIGGER!

This title will get you the bragging rights in our discord server because we will get you a special role for everyone to see but it will also get you 500 DWD tokens as a prize. Our extra fun opportunities to win DWD tokens are well on their way. We had a weekend in which we not only had cheaper units but started with discord contests. Some players have already won DWD tokens, from 10 to 200 depending on which game they have won. The winners of those contests will be contacted in the next 24 hours to get their username in the game so we can transfer the prizes. More will come soon so be sure to check up on us on discord often and read our posts. Battle other players to reduce the population and participate in our contests, DWD tokens are waiting for you!
IMPORTANT:
At the end of this week, we will remove the Obyte part from our Market in the game. If you have not transferred your Future tokens from Obyte to drugwars, do it by then and we will convert them to DWD tokens. Check out our exchange for info about token distribution.
I wanted to start some battles today since it's BATTLE WEEK and so and such, but game is not working. The units I send out do not return home currently, they are stuck in some bar for booze. It would be so much easier for the players if there were a couple of guys that could restart a server, right now we have to wait for the ONLY developer to wake up or return to his screen after groceries, to have the game working again.
If you want to grow and keep a nice player base, there are some critical things you should consider and fix. Downtime in a multiplayer game due to your only dev being afk is not a good thing, and it is so easily fixed.
Hiring more developers costs money and at this stage, that is not possible to do. A small team means players need to be patient for that small team to handle everything but it also means we can cover the costs of servers and the game being developed. I am sorry you have to wait a bit longer but the truth is, everything always gets fixed and your units will get back from that bar ;)
In the meantime, I will call my pet to get you something to help pass the time. Just be careful with it, my pet changes his attitude as he changes his colours so you never know if he will be naughty or nice. Take his words with some humour and enjoy your token. ;)

You can sell your DWD tokens on Steem Engine platform. If they are in your drugwars game account, you first need to withdraw them to Steem Engine. Please check out our tutorial post for instructions about that. You can also use DWD tokens in the game and purchase building upgrades and units with them.

since they placed the map it is no longer possible to locate who to attack, the game is dying. It is too tedious to locate who to attack like this and waste so much time spying on coordinates by hand makes no sense.
It makes sense if you think about how you can now produce resources in more location than one and in that way have more resources and more units in less time. The strategy of relocating units once you get notified about the attack helps too. The point is to have a game that does take some skills to play and is interesting at the same time. It should not be too easy because it then becomes boring. It needs to challenge our players and make them think before their next move. The map system was very well received by the majority of our players (they did ask for it after all) and I am sorry you feel this way. We will think of a way to add some features which will be more interesting to you and not tedious. Feel free to check out our roadmap and participate in discord with your ideas. There is a roadmap-suggestion channel where you can place your ideas, we would be happy to read them and take into consideration.

If that's the case, would it not be better if Coordinates weren't so easily accessible? Also, I think being able to relocate your base is a mandatory feature. It's not much of a strategy game if I could just look up anybody's names and immediately be able to locate all their bases. New players would be bullied into submission and would have no chance to relocate or fight back. If you really want to initiate a gangwar, your team need to come up with a better event. Perhaps, an event where gangs can signup to participate in a tournament. Gangs would be randomly paired up and be forced to fight for prizes. Just an idea. Also, I want to know what will happen with the Future tokens on the steemengine. A lot of the users are mad because now their future is worthless.
You have some pretty awesome ideas. We will take them under consideration and think about them. As for the Future on Steem Engine, that token is not in any way connected with drugwars. We have repeatedly said so and asked our players to click on that little "i" sign next to the token to read the description of Future token and see how it is not ours.

Hey @drugwars I seem to be having an issue where I can not properly transport resources. I tried a couple times and it looks like the resources are being taken from my account they way they should, but the receiving account just isn't getting them.
