Drug Wars – The reason why I’m paying

Drug Wars

Drug Wars is the classical browser game I would have never spend a dime on. It’s just timers and resources and you can only circumvent that with money.
But Drug Wars is different. All thanks to the pool which is paying the players.

The Hype right now is still going on. The latest news revealed that there were some abusers, but also that the battle system was deactivated.

So I bought for the second time the Cocina. (At least noone can rob me now.)
Let me explain why.

My first purchase in the game was the Cocina stage 1. Based on the explanations the pool is splitted between the players based on the drugs production. On the bottom on the screen we get the handy explanation:

You should receive 1.794 STEEM based on 0.082 % of total Drugs Production Overall Players 31979404.80 per day

Alcohol and weapons and every other building are totally irrelevant regarding that cut.
But we got our numbers now: The total production, the production of the buildings with the next level, how big the pool is right now and how expensive one level is in Steem.

The price for the first Cocina for me at that time was 2.422 Steem. But it is increasing my production by 12.96k. That is the best ratio you can get at that level. Basically the production for one Steem is 5350. Compared to the other buildings that is a great deal. For example the Pharmaceutical Lab is only delivering 2815 drugs per Steem paid.

So Cocina was the way to go to increase the production by paying to get the most amount of drugs per buck.
To solve the next “riddle” (Not really though). The increase in rewards.
Back then it was over 1 Steem. Right now the reward would increase by 0.885.

12960/(12960+31979404.80)*2184.73=0.885...

I would say that paying 2.422 Steem for a daily cut of 0.885 Steem is a great deal.
But of course everything comes with a catch. The daily production from all players is growing faster than the reward pool. Hence the daily cut is decreasing. Slowly but steadily. So the deal will get worse over time until it will take months to be paid off.

Also the missing weapons and alcohol production will one not allow to build something with the amount of drugs. The only way those drugs can go are into the heist. But that at least means one small extra revenue. Also don’t forget to increase the capacity because at base only 1000 drugs are safe and the maximum amount is 10k. So you won’t be able to store a whole day production.

In the end I did the whole calculation again. Even at level 1 the Cocina level 2 beats every other building based on the price. So I did that and got now a lvl 2 Cocina.
With the deactivated battles I’m at least sure, that I will be able to invest those drugs into the heist regularly.

I’m really curious how this game will develop on the blockchain. Steemmonsters be prepared!
