We Are Not Above This!

We confine ourselves to inner accord
within the safety of our dwellings while we preach,
Planting gardens of delight within our reach.

We allow for prismatic structured power
to linage our position on all stands,
Ensuring that no blood reflects on our own hands.

W get drunk off the streams that feed us,
yet we use bridges to cross them as we bleat,
Believing that they are not worth the grace of our feet.

Did you hear the lamb cry at the altar?
Or were you too busy listening to the reasoning of sacrifice,
In tabloids and media filled with false advice?

It is time to set your alarms to a wake-up call
It is time to realise that we are not flying above the struggles of man
We are merely an aid to their cause, their goal, their plan.

It is time to heed the words of your heart,
Break the silence, use your voice
Listen for once, you have a choice.
