Vamos todos a silbar.

in #dsound6 years ago

A warm musical greeting.

Today I bring you this song In gaita rhythm that I recorded together with Venezuela Identidad musical.

It was composed by Francisco Alejo, guitarist and the one who makes the solo voice in this song.

It is a traditional game called "Vamos todos a silbar" (El gurrufío) , which consists of a piece of wood, metal or plastic in a circular shape to which two holes are made to insert a string to be able to take it by the ends and make it rotate on its axis.

Our colleague Francisco wanted to express in the song where this game comes from and how it is played.

Here the lyrics:

Let's all enjoy
Let's all whistle
Gurrufío is the game
Simple and traditional
That with a wick and a badge
We can do it
Invite Daddy and Mommy
Let's all play.

I

Who could have imagined
This game isn't from here.
Comes from Africa
To make us have fun
To the rhythm of this bagpipe
Who's singing it VIM

II

Comes in various sizes
And they're all colored
And always from its origin
Related to love
It can also be made of leather, wood or brass.

Sencillo y tradicional
Que con pabilo y una chapa
Lo podemos realizar
Invita a Papi y mami
Vamos todos a jugar.

I
Quién se iba a imaginar
Este juego no es de aquí
Proviene del África
Para hacernos divertir
Al ritmo de esta gaita
Que la esta cantando VIM

II

Voz solista: Francisco Alejo.
Cuatro y coros: José Varela.
Bajo y coros: Tirso Romero.
Mandolina: Rodnell Matos.
Percusión y coros: Lula Pereira, Jorge Linares.

Con cariño para todos.
Rodnell
