Rifle of Chords (House edit) by Ed Privat

in #dsound5 years ago (edited)

Hello beautiful steemit!!!

I've been on a vegetarian diet for few days now, and I feel great!! Of course a little bit weaker than usual, especially after a whole week day of work, it's getting a bit on my nerve, and I can almost feel tingling sensation in my entire body, but other than that, I am feeling great, my buddy @dandays is coaching me on that matter. You see, the meat in South Africa is not always great, I hope I am not insulting anyone living here by saying this, but between hormone grown chicken and GMO corn, it's really a hard path to find healthy food, so I decided to go full vegetarian/piscitarian for a while, cutting the eggs and meat, the only thing that i kept is the cream in my coffee, which will eventually come, give me some time. I start understanding that we consume the energy of these animals too, so I feel like I am doing a good thing.
DOn't worry, I won't criticize you if you love meat, I still love a good steak. it's just an experiment I've gotta try for a while and see how my body feels about it. I still workout everyday and for now I don't see too much negative consequences!

This is a house version of my song "Rifle Of Chords, from my first album "Neo"
It was released in 2013, I produced everything on Cubase, and recorded from home. It was one of the only track of the album home-produced

I hope you enjoy listening to this song!!!

Cheers have a great morning/evening/day

lol at the end of this experiment tell us your story with that as a post or next Saturday at ArtZone show
nice song btw!

You can get coconut milk (full fat from a can) and use that in your coffee… 😋. Animal milk is the easiest to replace I think. We even found a joint in the middle of nowhere Costa Rica that sold gelato and ice cream but also had flavors made with coconut milk. Dandays and I snorted two scoops of dark chocolate (made with coco milk) and it was delicious. The only difference is consuming those scoops is non mucous forming- you literally can not taste a difference.

Yesterday I made spaghetti noodles, lentils (as the meat), tomato sauce (from scratch) and focaccia bread (using olive oil, garlic, basil, oregano), so basically a spaghetti and meat sauce night… it yields a lot of food, the ingredients are all pretty cheap (lentils are 50 cents here, pasta 60 cents, tomatoes I’m not sure but how much can they be) and it’s tastes delicious. I will also make baked potatoes, let them cool and scoop out the potato, mix it with beans, tomatoes, peppers, onion, taco spices, hot sauce and stuff the potato again and bake for another several minutes then top with avocado or guacamole and salsa. Again, cheap ingredients (except the avocado) and yeilds a lot of food. The extra guts can be put into a hollowed put bread bowl and eaten as a Mexican bunny chow or used as stuffing for a tortilla or flat bread. If you guys ever run out of cooking ideas I’m here with an infinite amount of ideas… you two are doing great. Make sure @lionmom is getting enough fats and fish. Good days like olive oil, avocado, nuts, are essential for you two and if you’re feeling tired then eat more. That was the biggest adjustment for me was figuring out how much I needed to eat. In the beginning I immediately lost 5-8 pounds because I ate the same amount of food just minus dairy and meat but failed to replace some of those calories. Anyway, I’m exited for you guys and hope y’all get the results you are seeking.

So much yes to eating enough! That was my biggest problem after switching, as well. It's a good thing I like eating like a horse. Probably my favorite thing about being plant-based, haha!

I still struggle with it sometimes.

It really can be challenging, especially when you are eating really clean. I'm glad it's warm here again because I'm back on the smoothie bandwagon as a way to get plenty of the good stuff in!

Smoothies are amazing!! So refreshing and yet so nutrient dense. Yum!!

With @dandays (and the package deal of @puravidaville) giving you some pointers, you're on the right track with a more plant-focused diet! Some great tips I see already from the many resident veggies here on Steem. Eating enough, especially replacing the meat with legumes for an active lifestyle is pretty key. There's a crap-ton of delicious recipes on here, so you shouldn't be lacking in inspiration! Hope you have continued success with the lifestyle change!

A nice jam, as well. ;)

You’re sofa king dope!

about 700 studies show how meat and dairy are really bad for your health , dairy even worse than meat. Plus the meat and dairy industry is the number one contributor to climate change , the number one factor
(next to political red tape ) in world hunger , the number one soil and water polluter ect. ect. Meat is actually better for you (even though it was classified as class 1 carcinogen in 2017) than dairy which is hell in a handbasket. And when we talk about animal suffering all of it is shit . I was vegetarian since the age of 12 and have been vegan 10years 11 on april 13th - if you are feeling tired you needs denser calories , this means you need to supplement more legumes (the english version meaning beans , and chickpeas ect ) - tofu is great also have some nuts and seeds and fruit with you to keep you going through the day .

Probably i love meat but i was grown up with not eating too much meat. i guess it cause more worms to the body

Loved this one. The electronic environment suits your voice perfectly. I feel some Stevie Wonder influence a bit of Prince feeling but it's definitely your song , a 100 % Ed Privat . Great stuff , congratulations

Hey Ed, firstly, I love this track - those chords and your harmonies are out of this world, really enjoying the house remix here.

Secondly, let me know how you get on with your switch to vegetarian/vegan lifestyle. Be interested to know - you may also want to reach out to @plantstoplanks on here as she is a fitness instructor who makes vegan recipes :)

Thanks for the plug @nickyhavey! Good excuse for me to listen to some of ed's tunes, too. ;)

You won't be disappointed KT!
