The song that we are now referencing in this musical area is called Esencia tropical (Tropical essence). It is a Joropo Oriental Sucrense or JOSU that has musical form of Joropo with Chorus. This joropo represents a true icon of our Venezuelan identity, because it gives an account of the beauty and charms of our Venezuelan woman, the very tropical essence of the female that lives in this part of the world. This Joropo with Estribillo was composed by Hernán Marín who to date has become, together with María Rodríguez, the most genuine representatives who have cultivated this musical genre throughout their artistic careers.

In my personal opinion, Esencia tropical represents the soul of the oriental woman from Sucre and is the living stamp of one of the best-developed musical genres of our traditional-popular music: the Joropo with Estribillo. This form is one of the variants of JOSU and refers to a type of manifestation specifically of music and dance, whose human and sound richness is of an extraordinary heritage value. This manifestation, today, has a high cultural content and constitutes a fundamental expression of local-regional-national identity, forming part of the musical repertoire that is performed, interpreted and danced in Sucre State, in the localities of Cumaná, Cumanacoa and Cariaco.

In this opportunity, Esencia Tropical is interpreted by the Cantamor Group of the Anzoátegui State (Venezuela).
