Darkness Falls

This is the last track on Locked In The System, I had created this as a kind of soundtrack to a non-existent fantasy film/game/whatever.

I was thinking something along the lines of a battle between good and evil, before this epic battle begins the drums can be heard, as the warriors enter the battlefield.

Then the forces of light (I dunno, the elves or whatever) begin their their offensive, so it’s all magical sounding and twinkly, etc., etc.

Then these goodie goodie elves get overwhelmed by the forces of darkness (like orcs, goblins, ogres, traffic wardens or something nasty like that).

...will they rise again and prevail against evil?

...or will the darkness corrupt the land?

...why has the healer just gone AFK as soon as the fighting started?

...and who actually gives a monkeys?

I had been playing an online fantasy MMOG before I wrote this, so ended up with all this rubbish in my head lol

More about Skaarl:

All types of music appeal to me, particularly the more relaxed genres - chillout, ambient, downtempo, trip hop, jazz, latin, IDM, etc. Usually I will create downtempo electronic tracks, although I go through phases where it gets a bit more upbeat, just whatever I happen to be feeling at the time.
