La paloma (Gaita de tambora) [En-Es-De]
The "Gaita de Tambora" is a music that brings together elements of African, Spanish and indigenous culture, and is part of the celebration of San Benito (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benedict_the_Moor), in the West of Venezuela, south of Lake Maracaibo.
In its most traditional form it is played with two drums, one large and one smaller, which are called "tambora" and "tamborito". Also it usually accompanies a clarinete, that came to replace a guajira flute.
The free peals that the "tamborito" normally plays are assigned, for this production, to a Timbal.

La "Gaita de Tambora" es una música que reúne elementos de la cultura africana, español e indígena, que forma parte de la fiesta de celebración a San Benito (https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benito_de_Palermo), en el occidente de Venezuela, al sur del Lago de Maracaibo.
En su forma más tradicional es interpretada con dos tambores, uno grande y uno más pequeño, que llevan por nombre "tambora" y "tamborito". También suele acompañar un clarinete, que vino a sustituir una flauta guajira.
Los repiques libres que normalmente hace el "tamborito" se los asignamos, para esta producción, al timbal.
