The parranda is a musical form that originated, in the case of Venezuela, on the coasts of Aragua and Carabobo mainly, but that spread throughout most of the Venezuelan territory. Under that same name there are musical manifestations also in other Caribbean regions, mainly in Puerto Rico and Cuba. Also in those cases is linked to the Christmas festivities.

In Venezuela, the parrandas, aguinaldos and carols are very linked, which, together with the Gaita (musical form of the western part of the country) constitute the soundtrack of the Venezuelan Christmas.

It is important to note that there are two themes in the parranda: the song to the divine, where the main character is usually the baby Jesus, but can be any other saint or virgin linked to the Christian celebration. The other theme is the "pagan", which usually refers to the parties themselves, to drink, food and any other theme that conveys joy.

On this occasion it is a parranda to the divine, a composition of mine dedicated to the "parranderos", that is to say, the musicians who interpret this musical genre and who, with their performances, pay homage to the Holy Child.

La parranda es una forma musical que tuvo origen, en el caso de Venezuela, en las costas de Aragua y Carabobo principalmente, pero que se esparcieron por casi todo el territorio venezolano. Bajo ese mismo nombre hay manifestaciones musicales también en otras regiones caribeñas, principalmente en Puerto Rico y Cuba. También en esos casos está vinculada a las festividades navideñas.

En Venezuela están muy vinculados la parranda, aguinaldos y villancicos, los cuales, junto a la gaita (forma musical del occidente del país) constituyen la banda sonora de las navidades venezolanas.

Es importante destacar que existen dos temáticas en la parranda: el canto a lo divino, donde el personaje principal suele ser el niño Jesús, pero puede ser a cualquier otro santo o virgen vinvulado a la celebración cristiana. La otra temática es la "pagana", en la cual se suele hacer referencias a las fiestas mismas, a la bebida, la comida y cualquier otro tema que transmita alegría.

En esta ocasión se trata de una parranda a lo divino, una composición mía dedicada a los "parranderos", es decir los músicos que interpretan este género musical y que con sus interpretaciones hacen un homenaje al Niño Díos.

Die Parranda ist eine Musikform, die im Falle Venezuelas hauptsächlich an den Küsten von Aragua und Carabobo entstand, sich jedoch im gesamten venezolanischen Gebiet ausbreitete. Unter demselben Namen gibt es auch musikalische Manifestationen in anderen karibischen Regionen, hauptsächlich in Puerto Rico und Kuba. Auch in diesen Fällen ist es mit den Weihnachtsfeiern verbunden.

In Venezuela sind die Parrandas, Aguinaldos und Weihnachtslieder eng miteinander verbunden, die zusammen mit der Gaita (musikalische Form des westlichen Teils des Landes) den Soundtrack der venezolanischen Weihnachten bilden.

Es ist wichtig anzumerken, dass es zwei Themen in der Parranda gibt: das Lied für das Göttliche, wobei die Hauptfigur in der Regel das Jesuskind ist, es kann aber auch jede andere Heilige oder Jungfrau sein, die mit der christlichen Feier verbunden ist. Das andere Thema ist das "Heiden", das sich normalerweise auf die Parteien selbst bezieht, auf Trinken, Essen und andere Themen, die Freude bereiten.

Bei dieser Gelegenheit handelt es sich um eine Parranda für das Göttliche, eine Komposition von mir den Parranderos gewidmet, das heißt den Musikern, die dieses musikalische Genre interpretieren und mit ihren Auftritten dem Heiligen Kind huldigen.
