Uno de los cantantes más emblemáticos de la salsa, y sobre quien debo escribir próximamente en Steemit, es sin duda Ángel Canales. Alguien frente a quien es difícil permanecer neutro, sin una postura. Muchos lo aman, otros lo detestan. Para mí es uno de los artistas más originales y eclécticos en la salsa. Supo además rodearse de músicos de primera categoría, por lo cual los acompañamientos son algo extraordinario.

Una de las canciones que mejor hablan de esas características es esta, "Sentimiento del latino en Nueva York", una canción que tiene elementos del merengue, de la plena puertorriqueña, del jazz, del son, pero que es un sonido único y original. El arreglo le pertenece al trompetista del grupo, Steve Guttman.

Cuando yo me decidí a secuenciar esta canción, uno de mis objetivos era entender los elementos que la componían y entender el arreglo.
