Why some projects are kept a secret and what they have to face.

in #dtube5 years ago (edited)

A good project takes a lot of elements with the right synergy. From the perfect idea to best people backing it, from a sustainable budget to a commendable philosophy. But not everything is nice and dandy in a field of sunflowers with a bright blue sky when it comes to projects.
Among many hiccups any project has to face there is also a slight bump created when it comes to originality and secrecy.

Of course, the clone could be better and much more successful..but that is taken away from the original project.
Let's dive a little into what is a common issue that a lot of projects have to face today.

The problem of steem is the funds, if you have enough funds and that's mostly steem power, your project and the idea will go viral, if not, it will take you a very long time and very hard work to go somewhere with it. And you are right, a lot of ideas are stolen from people just because they are not that powerful. But what we can do, the only thing is hoping that someone big will notice the little project we are building or support the idea. Just like in real life, if you need to start a good business, you will need a lot of money, even if the idea is not that good, money can make it magical. ☺

I see the real world and steem to be very similar. These are many things we have in common and a lot of factors play equal roles in both spheres. Of course funding is one, and having the right blueprint is too

You described it absolutely right man! If you have a great idea, keep it mostly secret until the real goLive and then work hard on the developement and userexperience in the first place to reduce the chance of any copycat could make a better product. We are living in super fast times and several places around the world have smart and hardworking people who are brilliant in copying ideas.

@clixmoney said on steem it is not that easy to find sponsors if you just have an idea or just a product in alpha state. Absolutely right and a big factor for most of the startups especially on steem. But with good networking we can find contacts who trust us and our capabilities. We can ask them in secret for funding before executing the ideas. The working before any great idea to gain more good relations to valuable people is as important as the idea itself.

Peace!

I have to agree. The budgeting and support follows a strong idea with a stronger team behind it.
Networking has become more crucial than anything in these times.
We have a saying "I know someone who knows someone" as we dial on the phone, nothing else matters at that time.
