BREAKING NEWS: England thrash Australia to set up World Cup final against New Zealand

England have beaten Australia to reach the Cricket World Cup final for the first time since 1992.

England roundly beat Australia by eight wickets in Birmingham, and finished 226-2.

England's top men Joe Root and Eoin Morgan put the game to bed, scoring 49 and 45 runs respectively.

New Zealand await England on Sunday at Lords, after the Black Caps beat India in dramatic fashion on Wednesday afternoon.
