Good luck with your search, I hope you find something soon and you can get settled soon. A while back I was offered two job opportunities based in Canada one was remote so I could work from here which I took on, the other was a permanent post and I looked at the cost of housing vs all I'd need to move and vs the salary and I was just like this would be a sideways move.
Housing really looks like it's becoming a real problem with this bubble market, real estate is becoming unaffordable pushing people out of metros, it seems like only a matter of time before this has to correct in a big and problematic way
Yeah dude its insane right now! Good choice staying where you are as it is freaking impossible for me to find anything available and the ones I do I get no reply as they get scooped up so quickly!
I hope we can get something, after a little reflection i'm not so interested in the alternatives 😅
Man, I was nodding my head so much listening to your vlog! We are in a somewhat similar living situation at the moment - we really need to move (although our building hasn't been sold - long story involving the septic system), and started looking in December. We still haven't even found a place that we can afford, that would take our dog & cats, that we were even able to go check out (the few that have come up haven't replied to emails/phone calls, so we're assuming they were already taken). I really hope the nearby option works out for you - sending lots of positive vibes your way!
OMG that sounds terrible and pretty well the exact same thing we are dealing with 🙄 freaking insane how landlords think they can gouge their tenants to cover their insanely high mortgages 🤦♂️
