Ahhhhhhh, all of this sucks!
As soon as you said "Fox News is rated credible" that loses Newsguard any sense of their own credibility.
It's a shame, because I kind of like the overall idea... but obviously it would need to be by a team that was proven to be beyond reproach... because we all know media outlets would throw billions at them to get that little nutrition label.
In my opinion, the constant call out of Fake News and relentless advertising has pushed people away from the major outlets and towards independent media and blogs... and this is just the money people fighting back.
I recently found out that heaps of people use Bing and Microsoft Edge because it comes as the default on a ton of devices and most people don't know any better. Hopefully this just helps push more people towards Brave/Presearch, etc...
This is indeed worrying to see almost like a self censoring of the internet. People will see this as a free independent app and depend on it creating a very dangerous situation of brainwashing. People appear to have lost the ability to judge for themselves its a very sad state of affairs.
To me I see the Newsguard warning as a site to read 💯🐒
