If you are really big on Dancehall and Reggae music, you already know all these songs produced Dave Kelly, the creator of the Madd House label. If you are not familiar and want to get your Dancehall credentials in check, I suggest you absorb this mix. Dave Kelly was born in Kingston in 1969, interestingly, his brother Tony CD Kelly is also a producer, imagine that? Dave Kelly started as an engineer for the great Penthouse records but then formed his own label, Mad House, with his partner Janet Davidson in 1991.

Without a doubt Dave Kelly is responsible for some of the greatest Riddims in Dancehall….ever. Dozens of hits from Buju Banton including, Bogle dance, you come first/big it up, Baby Cham’s Ghetto Story, Bounty Killer’s, Look into my eyes, along with many other hits. Kelly is a producer and a writer, he actually wrote most of the hits he produced. Mad House label is the creator of Dancehall classic Riddims like Showtime, Joy ride, Pepper Seed, Back Yard, The BUG, Heartbeat, Bruk Out, Mud Up and my personal favorite, the Backyard Riddim. There are many other Riddims he produced, those are just the tip of the Ganja plant. Big ups to Dave and Tony Kelly for these Big Riddims that still run Dancehall today.
