Here's a solo piano musical improvisation for a contemporary Plie Ex.

Enjoy!

Very nice, especially the short piano roll bursts towards the end. More of those!! Judging by her reaction, the woman at the end was either acting as the resident composer or as entranced by your song. I'm hesitant to upvote this because I think your account was stolen. The real Jay only wears a leather jacket. I like this new one though. Please provide link to online retailer.

Thanks mon! Ya that piece went a few places lol... some weird choices for sure. That dancer at the end was just takin' the class :)

In the winter, I don't typically wear my leather jacket to classes, need more warmth! This is Canada MATT!

Unfortunately I've been procrastinating making a contemporary dance Album for about 10 yrs lol... one of these days. Just not sure the revenue and time would be worth it tbh.

Do they cue you to play or you have the liberty to start and stop when you feel like adding ambiance to the classes?

Listen, that leather jacket is both the warmest and hottest thing across all of Canada. If you auctioned it at SteemFest 4, you'd be set for life with Steem, or your charity of choice would be covered for years.

Well if the album would just be keys, percussion and guitar, you can do it all (just need to have it mixed/produced). You could then pull a soundlegion move and post each song individually on dsound over and over for years to get that revenue, if you didn't auction off the leather to be set for life.

lol... That's an interesting idea... actuation off my jacket. I'm not sure I can part with it just yet or that anyone would be all that interested in paying as much as you think for it hahaha. It wasn't cheap tho and i had it custom made!

For the classes, I mostly get count ins, tempos and time signatures from the dance instructors unless the direction is play whatever you want or play something sparse/no tempo etc.

It's a great gig, bc you can literally go in many directions as long as you are able to support the movement and the structure of the class appropriately. I've played a class on a newspaper and chair waaaaay back bc that's all there was to play on lol (not as fun tho).

The prob i have with recording all this stuff is that when you take away the visual element of the dancer.... it gets harder to recreate the music. I would probably need to have some1 in the studio dancing out exercise etc.
