#LivingElSalvador. First Ripe MANGOS This Season.

in #dtube5 years ago

So last night, I and @joordanzzz had our first ripe mangos this year/this season. We received these mangos from one of the soccer moms which she brought to the soccer practice.

Day before she brought us a bag of green mangos and today she brought the ripe and ready mangos, which we enjoyed as soon as we got home, since we love, love the mangos.

People of El Salvador are always so giving and so helping and that is one of the reasons we fell in love with El Salvador.

There are so many different kinds of mangos and they all have their different time of growing/ripening.
Our mangos on the tree are not quite ready yet, if you are looking for the nice sweet juicy ripen mangos otherwise you can enjoy some green or almost ready mangos. I think we still need another week or two for us to start enjoying our big, sweet mangos.

But for now, we were very, very happy to enjoy some of these very, very sweet and juicy mangos even though they didn't seem red or yellow or ready, but they were very ready and very, very juicy and sweet.

The green mangos I cut into pieces and froze for my husband and some I used for some mango juice, which we also enjoyed today.

And all of it for free since there are mango trees everywhere in the wild and a lot of people have the mango trees including us. So excited.

Hope you enjoyed your awesome day and wish you a wonderful rest of the week.
Love @joalvarez.

I am a great supporter of @familyprotection who is working very hard to help the families stay together and this project is the most amazing project that I would suggest for everyone on this steemit community to check it out and support it and by doing it we are helping people in need who are trying to keep their kids safe from being taken away (kidnapped) by the Social Services. I am also a part of one of the most amazing projects here on steemit and that is @gratefulvibes project where you can also join @gratefulvibes Discord chat group, where we support the newcomers and just have an amazing time.

I love mangoes from the small unripe ones that fell from the tree to to ripe mature ones. It can be eaten alone or with a meal as a side dish @joalvarez
You can also ferment those green ones with salt and water and make a pickle out if it :D

I will definitely try to ferment the green mangos.
It sounds really good.

Thank you for the tip @cryptopie
